Estimate how much Revenue may owe you — medical expenses, flat rate expenses and remote working relief combined.
Fill in what applies to you. The calculator uses current Revenue rates: 20% on medical expenses, your occupation's flat rate, and 30% of WFH costs.
We review your PAYE taxes — up to 4 years, all credits (medical, flat-rate, remote working and more). Most clients get back more than they expect.
You get 20% back on qualifying out-of-pocket medical costs. The relief applies at the standard rate (20%) regardless of your income tax rate. There is no upper limit — the more you spent, the more you get back. You can aggregate costs for your whole household on one return.
Revenue assigns a fixed allowance to qualifying occupations — a fixed sum you can deduct from income before tax is calculated. The tax saving depends on your rate: a nurse on the higher rate saves 40% × €733 = €293; on the standard rate, it's 20% × €733 = €147.
If you worked from home, you can claim 30% of your broadband, electricity and heat costs that are attributable to WFH days. Revenue uses the formula: (WFH days ÷ total working days) × annual cost × 30%. The relief is applied at your marginal tax rate (20% or 40%).
